Date and Location
Thunder in the Smokies will be held in Maggie Valley, NC at the Blue Ridgway Park, 3374 Soco Road, Maggie Valley, NC, on September 9th-11th, 2016. This is just minutes away from Creekside Lodge! Expect to see hundreds of participants in this weekend event!

Events to Look Forward To
The Thunder in the Smokies Annual Motorcycle Rally will host an array of events, each designed to keep participants happy and entertained throughout the weekend. Here is a sample of what you can look forward to:
Vendors Supreme
Gain access to more than 30 vendors setting up shop in the rally. You will be able to browse through different vendors and shop their extensive collection of motorcycle accessories. If you are considering upgrading your bike, this would be an excellent place to get check out those upgrades!
Bike Games
Participate in various motorcycle games with an amazing $1,000 cash prize for the lucky winners! These bike games are expected to be played throughout the 3 days of the event, giving all participants the chance to play at least one game and win something for back home.
Nightly Concerts
Amuse yourself come nighttime with the concerts set up in the event. Check out the list of performers so you won’t miss your favorite artists! No matter what type of music is your favorite, you’ll enjoy coming each night to just chill out in the open arena while listening to the live show.
Tour Ride
Of course, do not forget the much anticipated tour ride where you can be part of a rally while at the same time enjoying the independence of riding a motorbike with the wind on your hair and open spaces all around! The Tour Ride will run through the Great Smoky Mountains, going as high as the Waternock Knob Overlook with an elevation of 5,820. Enjoy the sights – rain or shine – and circle back to the event location to continue with the festivities. The tour ride will leave at 10AM Saturday morning. Make sure to gas up before the rally because there are no gas stops on the trail – just a long stretch of paved road as well as the sound of the bikes!
What Age Group
Everyone is welcome, no matter what your age is! Come and enjoy this event whether you are a bike enthusiast, have your own bike or are simply friends with someone who loves bikes – the Thunder in the Smokies is open for anyone willing to have a good time! Please note that alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the event from the outside, Not to worry though – there is plenty of beer being served by the vendors inside!
Tickets
Tickets are available either online or they can be purchased when you arrive at the event. You will find however that online tickets are cheaper at $17 while on-site tickets are priced at $20. Either purchase will get you in the gates for the next 3 days of the event with access to anything or everything the rally has to offer. For those who will be bringing kids 8 years old or lower, the weekend pass price is reduced to just $8. No day passes – just weekend passes are available.
